孫の手 (grandchild's hand) is as far as I can tell the only name for back scratcher. Cracks me up that someone in Japan saw it for the first time and came up with that who knows how long ago.

Will Smithの件、「言葉の暴力」というワードがトレンドインしてるように、日本での受け止め方は「暴力はたしかによくないけど、あの言葉の暴力に対して平手打ちぐらいは仕方がない」という空気だと思う。（自分も心情的にはそう。）
ただ、米国での受け止め方は全く違うのかなとも感じる。
