@KagutaMuseveni Amazing to witness! From Ibanda to Kampala to Morulem this is economic transformation in action. Keep shining a light on Uganda’s golden rise
In the picture, I am with Mr. Cohen Carlos, who owns Feldstein Co. Ltd., a gold refinery in Kampala. It refines Uganda’s gold to a purity level of 99.9%, which recently was earning USD 173,000 per kilogram. On account of the war in the Gulf of Persia, the price is now USD 129,000.
This particular one and a half kilograms of gold that I am holding is from Ibanda. Mr. Cohen is building another refinery in Morulem, Abim.
Uganda is waking up. We have 10 licensed gold refineries in Uganda. Mr. Cohen’s refineries are printing the Bank of Uganda logo on the gold bars.
Signed:
Yoweri K. Museveni
Ssaabalwanyi.
@KagutaMuseveni@SecureNex Impressive numbers and even more impressive training! Congrats to every probationer and immigration officer. Your discipline today reflects the quality of your instructors. Go out there and make your country proud!
Today at Kabalye, I passed out 9,952 officers comprising the 25th Intake of Probationer Police Constables and the 3rd Intake of the Immigration Officers’ Course. I congratulate them on successfully completing their training and commend the Police leadership and instructors for producing a disciplined force.
@KagutaMuseveni I am grateful for this proactive engagement. Please be assured of my administration’s commitment to studying these ideas thoroughly and providing the policy support required to turn them into reality for Uganda's benefit.
Mr. Andile Ramaphosa and his team paid me a courtesy call this afternoon at Nakasero State Lodge. They presented proposals for collaboration with NAGRC and the Regional Service Centre Initiative at Namunkekera Farm aimed at strengthening the regulated breeding, harvesting and export of Ankole cattle genetics to the SADC region and beyond.
They also shared a proposal to establish a B.O.T. laboratory to help address the challenge of counterfeit agro-inputs in the country. I welcome these ideas, I thank them for their initiative. The Government will study the proposals and support initiatives that advance Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.
Today, I engaged with officers undertaking a course at the Senior Command and Staff College, Kimaka, 52 of whom are students drawn from across the continent. We discussed strategic security, wealth creation, ICT, population growth and the dangers of sectarianism.
I emphasized that Africa’s future lies in economic and political integration, guided by Patriotism and Pan-Africanism. We must build the capacity to defend our interests in all spheres while creating prosperity and opportunities for our people.
I congratulate the students and wish them good luck.
@KagutaMuseveni Accountability starts with awareness. Thank you for inviting us to listen directly. I will be glued to my screen at 2pm, and I'm urging all my fellow youth to do the same. Forward together
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Today at 2pm, the Financial Year 2026/27 National Budget will be read. I encourage you to follow the proceedings live on all national TV and radio stations, as well as on social media.
@KagutaMuseveni Thank you for the steady leadership, Your Excellency. The news of zero new cases and rising recoveries is a testament to our collective effort. Let’s keep following the guidelines until we reach zero Ebola completely.
Fellow Ugandans, health is more important than wealth. I am encouraged that in the last five days, we have not registered any new Ebola infections and are instead recording recoveries. This shows that the measures we have put in place are working. However, we must remain vigilant. Avoid handshakes, maintain good hygiene, and follow the guidance of our health authorities. We defeated Ebola before, and with discipline and cooperation, we shall defeat it again.
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Tomorrow, at 2:00 p.m., I will address the nation on the state of our country and the progress we continue to make.
Please join me live on TV, radio, and social media platforms.
Today, I also held discussions with H.E. Frederieke Quispel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on continued agricultural cooperation between Uganda and the Netherlands. She also updated me on the ongoing study tour to the Netherlands, where Ugandan farmers are gaining exposure to modern technologies and innovative farming practices.
I welcome the strong and cordial relations between Uganda and the Netherlands, which continue to advance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
