For almost 20 years, Books on First in downtown Dixon has run a program every Christmas called Books for Babes, which allows patrons to purchase books for children in LSSI's local foster care program.

Northeast Christian Church in Rockford hosted “Curbside Christmas" for LSSI foster families.

Guests were met with Christmas decorations, carolers, and Santa! Each family received a gift box with dinner, gift cards, activities, and a family game.
