@StrictScrutiny_ the Breyer clips last week were giving me West Wing Justice Ashland writing in iambic pentameter vibes. 😬

[Kim K. @kimigen]

The celebrity wedding I am most excited about in 2022 is the marriage of @StrictScrutiny_ to @crookedmedia. I love them both so much. They are a perfect match that I wish many years wedded bliss.

@BaldMove NANOBOTS

[Kim K. @kimigen]

People don’t talk enough about what a great resource @ymca is for families.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@thelapod 😭 so sad to see @hayesdavenport leave the pod but I look forward to hearing about the great work being done in the office of my council member @nithyavraman!

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@RatlSecurity 😭 😭 😭 Wednesdays will never be the same.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@RatlSecurity same episode as last week uploaded today. Help! I need more content!

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@thelapod are you seeing the fury being unleashed on Garcetti’s Instagram right now?😂

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@thelapod love the pod! Hate the new theme song.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@latimes I’m a white subscriber and I want you to do better. Some of your headlines this week about rioters and looting have missed the mark. Promote, hire and support black journalists and I’ll keep buying your paper. Be the paper that reflects LA.

[#BlackLivesMatter-LA @BLMLA]

We don't want to hug the police.
We don't want to kneel with the police.
We don't want to meet with the police.

WE WANT TO DEFUND THE POLICE.
#DefundThePolice
#BlackLivesMatter

[Kim K. @kimigen]

An independent prosecutor should be appointed to investigate the Louisville PD immediately. Call a special session now and ban no-knock warrants. Justice for #BreonnaTaylor NOW. History has its eyes on you.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@GovAndyBeshear @djaycameron @RandPaul @RepJohnYarmuth @DanielCameronAG @senatemajldr I demand that charges be pressed against all officers involved in this heinous killing of Breonna Taylor. They should be charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for murder.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

Last week @CD6Nury congratulated City Council on its work during COVID...but idk why. Rent is still due, unhoused folx are still on the street and racist @LAPDHQ still walks around without masks and harasses Black and Brown folx. Adopt a #PeoplesBudgetLA. #DefundThePolice.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

It’s clear that @CD6Nury doesn’t actually care about Angelenos as long as she passes @MayorOfLA’s draconian budget. We see her inaction and we will take action. Adopt a #PeoplesBudgetLA and #DefundThePolice! LA needs #CareNotCops.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

Hey @CD6Nury, it’s your job to represent the people of Los Angeles, not @LAPDHQ… Adopt a #PeoplesBudgetLA.#DefundThePolice now. We want #CareNotCops.

[Kim K. @kimigen]

If @CD6Nury really cared about fighting systemic racism she’d #DefundThePolice and adopt a #PeoplesBudgetLA before the deadline on June 1. LA demands #CareNotCops.

[Nury Martinez @NuryMartinezLA]

The hard numbers — people who live in poverty have a death rate nearly 4x higher than communities with little or no poverty. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Systemic racism is literally killing us. What kind of city are we going to be coming out of this pandemic?https://t.co/z9PygONI5P

[Kim K. @kimigen]

The @BLMLA led #PeoplesBudgetLA coalition has shown:

1. City Council doesn’t do its job. It doesn’t represent the People.
2. @CD6Nury, the rest of City Council and @MayorOfLA are actively upholding white supremacy and structural racism

#DefundThePolice #CareNotCops

[Kim K. @kimigen]

@CD6Nury We want services that help and strengthen our communities, not tear them about. We need to stop funding the people that terrorize black and brown communities. We need to #DefundThePolice and we need a #PeoplesBudgetLA.

We are calling on you @cd6nury
