The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public. 

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

Ossoff: Let’s just review what we’ve learned about Mike Collins in recent weeks.

We learned that the congressman’s office was briefing some of the most notorious white supremacists in America.

We’ve also learned through CNN’s reporting that it appears Mike Collins or Mike Collins’ business hired a neo-Nazi to produce promotional materials. But the congressman, two weeks later, still refuses to answer whether he or his businesses paid this neo-Nazi.

And today, facing these questions from the press corps in Georgia, Congressman Mike Collins ran away. He is refusing to answer questions, and Georgians have a right to know the answers.

He is seeking a six-year term in the United States Senate. He needs to release all of his office’s communications with these white supremacists. He needs to apologize for his ties to white nationalism and neo-Nazi ideology, and he needs to say whether he or his businesses paid this neo-Nazi.
