On Friday, I accomplished two long-held dreams to earn a law degree and graduate from a Liberian institution. I am grateful to God for this journey and my family and loved ones for their unwavering support.

I recently had the incredible honor of meeting two inspiring young Liberians, Garmai and Ireland, who were recently selected as Mandela Washington Fellows! They will be studying at the University of Delaware for six weeks, alongside 23 other talented fellows from across Africa.

I recently had a fantastic interview with Tamar Guttmann for her systems change podcast, "A World From Scratch." Tamar, an entrepreneur, impact producer, and advisor from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is passionate about the intersection of arts and social impact.

I am proud of Rev. Bimba and the incredible work he's doing at Chap Liberia to produce Liberian rice. One simple policy goal we can set as Liberians is to ensure that within ten years, we no longer import any food products that we can grow or produce ourselves.

I used to paint when I was much younger. Most of my work was destroyed during the war, with the exception of this one, which was brought to the United States by Mrs. Izetta Cooper. I got to see it this weekend for the first time in 36 years!

Saddened by the loss of Ms. Pam Shoemaker, who headed the PG TYP program at Northfield Mount Hermon School (NMH). Rest in peace, Ms. Shoe. Your impact will forever be felt, and your spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.

Fellow Sierra Leoneans,

I bring you greetings from the Presidential Lodge in Freetown.

In the early hours of this morning, there was a breach of security at the Military Barracks at Wilberforce in Freetown, as some unidentified individuals attacked the military armoury.

However, they were repelled by our gallant Security Forces and calm has been restored.

As the combined team of our Security Forces continue to root out the remnant of the fleeing renegades, a nationwide curfew has been declared and citizens are encouraged to stay indoors.

The PEACE of our beloved NATION is PRICELESS and we shall continue to protect the peace and security of Sierra Leone against the forces that wish to truncate our much-cherished stability.

We remain resolute in our determination to protect democracy in Sierra Leone and I urge all Sierra Leoneans to unite towards this collective responsibility.

Long Live The Republic of Sierra Leone. 🇸🇱

Tomorrow, I'm going to cast my vote for JNB #1 and encourage you to do the same. JNB was not my first choice, but I believe he is the best choice for Liberia's future and development. Don't underestimate the power of your presence and your vote. Your vote is your voice.

[Kimmie Weeks @kimmieweeks]

Tuesday, November 14 is elections day. Yes, the lines might be long, but don't let long lines deter you from making your voice heard! Your vote is your power to influence change. The wait is temporary, but the impact of your vote lasts far longer.

[Kimmie Weeks @kimmieweeks]

Every vote counts, especially in runoff elections! Your voice matters. Take the opportunity to make a difference in your community by participating in the upcoming runoff on November 14th. Staying at home is not an option. Let's get out and shape our future together.

[Kimmie Weeks @kimmieweeks]

Regardless of the final outcome and results tomorrow, remember that we are all part of this great nation. Stay peaceful, stay strong. Any challenge of the results should be done using legal recourse and not violence. #UnitedLiberia

🕊️ As votes are counted, let's remember that peace is a choice, and unity is our strength. #PeacefulDemocracy
