Today is the last day of class at @NCState! One of our favorite #LDOC traditions is the @SAY_Village Rally. At this annual event, local middle school students come to campus for an end-of-year celebration with their mentors, many of whom are undergraduate students in our College.

Hour of Code could be used in elementary schools to teach kids directions as well as help them connect with the world around them through speaking a common language. The program teaches critical thinking skills which can be used across subject areas. #eci201 #hourofcode #csforall

It is so hard to convince students how to code because they naturally assume coding is hard and they would not be able to do it. This is not true, though, and teachers need to be supportive and encourage their students to participate in computer science! #eci201
