There’s nothing that makes romance entirely different from friendships here, assuming nobody is directly forcing them. Kris can still control their responses too.

But Kris also lets him lean into his persona and doesn’t want to change him. They are neurodivergent kids who find unspoken understanding tgthr

@Cheze_ease530 @Trgquotefan @Void_VunzzZ The appeal to me is the way they see and accept each other. Berdly may taunt Kris, but he never mocks them for being different or a human. And that means a lot to Kris, when some of their classmates other them (like Snowy, even Susie calls them a freak at the start)

@Shafir204 @Neeco_arc There is a romance system HS called the quadrants. TLDR there are two axis: red/black and pitch/pale.

♥️red/pitch- resembles human ideas of romance
♦️red/pale- a best friend or qpr, but with a defined social role to balance each other’s weak spots

@m0rtiinha @that1weirdo2 @Confetilly In Chapter 2, when Susie asks Kris who they are taking to the festival, and Kris replies anyone other than “You (Susie)”, Susie will remark that Kris sounds confused. Ralsei would definitely notice if Kris’ tone sounded shocked or confused, but he doesn’t. So it’s prob not that

@chipt00ns ur valid. i got into fop through anw. cosmo&wanda feel more like one unit than two characters in anw than the og. i don’t mind this, i think it’s so hazel can shine while returning favs support her. but i hope s2 gives us more fairies individual storylines/characterisation
