@rabbriansamuel I do not know the answer. But felt the same struggle with my mom at hospice. My only solace was, what was the alternative? Fully conscious prolonged suffering???? It is not the best system, but the best option we have right now. God Bless and deepest sympathy.

@gwoman9810 Not sure if my comment posted. Pls get him checked for a UTI. VERY common upon releasre from hosp. Will cause fatugue and even confusion. Easily treatable!

@ronhenzel A few thoughts from experience: Older people take MUCH longer to recover from surg and anesthesia. Have them check her for UTI, X COMMON
NEVER say they are going A.L. permanently. At least initially. Initially, tell them "Just till u get better"
