OUTRAGEOUS. A New Yorker took this video during rush hour showing a carriage driver forcing a horse with passengers directly into Times Square gridlock chaos at Broadway & 47th St. - one of the most congested, chaotic traffic zones in New York City and the country, filled with frightening stimuli for horses.

This comes just one week after yet another violent carriage horse incident, yet carriage drivers are still forcing horses and the public into more danger in the middle of Midtown chaos.

This violates the law and is another example of the carriage industry's complete disregard for the welfare of the horses, public safety, and traffic laws.

The City Council must fast track and pass #RydersLaw to finally get these horses out of harm's way and transition workers to safer modern jobs.

She tried to warn everyone in 2001. The men she named were powerful. What followed ruined her life.💔⚠️

Karen Mulder was one of the most famous models in the world. She worked with Versace, Dior, and Chanel, became an original Victoria’s Secret Angel, and was one of the highest paid models of her time. She was everywhere, admired, successful, and trusted inside the fashion industry.

In October 2001, Mulder appeared on a French talk show and spoke about serious wrongdoing in the modeling world, including assault, abuse, and exploitation. She directly named senior figures. The interview never aired. Reports later claimed the footage was destroyed before the public could see it.

Within hours, she disappeared from public view and was taken to a psychiatric hospital in Paris, where she stayed for months. Her mental health was questioned. Her credibility was torn apart. Her career collapsed. For years, she was portrayed as unstable and unreliable.

The men she accused kept working.

Years later, one of them, Jean-Luc Brunel, was exposed as a close associate of Jeffrey Epstein. Court records and testimony linked him to an international exploitation network connected to modeling agencies. Many women later accused him. He was arrested in France in 2020 and died in custody in 2022 while awaiting trial.

Another executive Mulder named, Gérald Marie, was later accused by at least fifteen women of assault and abuse. A BBC investigation had previously raised serious concerns about his behavior, yet he remained influential in fashion for years.

Karen Mulder was not protected. She was silenced.

Two decades later, the men she warned about were being investigated, exposed, or dying in jail cells. The truth did not change her fate, but it changed how her words should be remembered.

She was not crazy. She was early.

Donkeys are among the most abused and neglected animals in our country. People take endless hard work from them, loading them with unimaginable weight, and once the work is done, they are left abandoned on the roads to eat garbage.

In cities, where there is no grazing land, these poor souls are left without food, without water, without care. When work is needed again, the same owners catch them, exploit them, and then abandon them once more. This cycle continues until the donkey breathes its last.

It is heartbreaking, it is cruel, and yet there are no rules or regulations to protect them. These gentle beings give their strength and labor to help humans earn a livelihood is it too much to expect that in return, they are given food, water, and basic medical care?

Their suffering is silent, but their pain is immense. We must raise our voices for these voiceless souls, because they deserve dignity, compassion, and kindness too.

This is Kshamenk, Argentina’s last captive orca. He’s been in these concrete tanks at Mundo Marino since 1992. He hasn’t seen another orca since 2000. Orcas are social animals and live with their families in the wild. Solitary confinement is akin to torture. Free Kshamenk!

@Tarionpartridge I wish more people would wake up and think about where their meat is coming from. How do they think it gets to their table. Even if it were living cage free out on green pastures, it’s still marked for death via spray painted back or plastic ear tag. It’s anything BUT humane..
