Commissioner for Cooperatives, David Obonyo today appeared before the @NAssemblyKE Committee on Trade, Industry and Cooperatives together with representatives of the @KenyaGovernors. In the meeting chaired by Hon James Gakuya (Embakasi North) , Mr Obonyo confirmed that the Ministry and the CoG held a consultative meeting and ironed out the divergent views they had on the Cooperatives Bill No. 7 of 2024.
The @Ushirika_Kenya together with the CoG was represented by Governors @SpeakerKLusaka (Bungoma) , @GovernorKahiga (Nyeri), @BenjaminCCheboi (Baringo) and @HonOtuoma ( Busia), presented a joint memorandum on their proposals of the Bill to the committee.
