Joined congregants and members of the PCEA Women’s Guild Kiamunyeki in Bahati Sub-County as they marked the Women’s Guild Sunday, culminating in a week of national celebrations held under the theme, “Spirit That Fuels Christ’s Mission.” The message of the day reminded us to remain rooted in Christ, strengthened in faith, and overflowing with thankfulness.
I reaffirmed our commitment to improving local infrastructure through road grading and the installation of street lights to enhance connectivity and security in our communities.
I further called upon parents and the wider community to continue guiding and mentoring our children, especially in light of the recent school fire incidents.
I was accompanied by Education CECM Zipporah Wambui.
So this man realized Ruto was incompetent after he was kicked out of office? Spare us your hypocrisy! Ati 4 girls, even lying requires some intelligence, does he really expect anyone to believe that? You incited those you call your people and you took off while all the burning, looting and vandalism happened in their areas! What does burning of vehicles, super markets and trucks have to do with the global increase in the price of fuel? Hope you are happy now, well done!!
Wishing you a joyful and blessed Easter filled with love, hope, and renewal. May this season inspire kindness, strengthen our faith, and bring peace to our homes and communities. Happy Easter.
Hosted hundreds of women leaders drawn from all sub-counties in Nakuru, forming a strong grassroots network aimed at advancing economic empowerment and bringing more women into leadership.
Speaker after speaker outlined the programs we have implemented as a County Government to uplift women and create opportunities for the girl child to thrive. We have invested funds in drilling boreholes to ensure women can access water at their doorsteps, established lactation rooms in our major hospitals, expanded the bursary program, and implemented the Uji Program across all ECDEs. Our ultra-modern markets now include breastfeeding rooms, while we continue to promote the role of women in trade and agriculture.
Through our low-interest Sh100 million Wezesha Fund, women have gained access to affordable credit, alongside increased inclusion at all levels of leadership. I am also planning a major empowerment fundraiser for women in Nakuru County.
As a woman leader, women remain the backbone of my leadership, my support base and first line of defenders. I called for respect toward women leaders and underscored the importance of integrity among all leaders. I remain committed to strengthening women-led initiatives, fostering cohesion, and expanding opportunities for women to actively shape Nakuru’s social and economic progress, both now and for future generations.
Present were CECs Zipporah Wambui, Roselyn Mungai, and Elga Riaga; Chief Officers Stella Mwaura, Gladys Kamuren, Margaret Kinyanjui, and Francis Njoroge; as well as women MCAs.
Presided over the issuance of cheques totalling Sh26.8 million to 53 cooperative societies in Nakuru County under the NAVCDP programme, a key initiative aimed at transforming smallholder farming through value addition, improved market access, and increased farmer incomes. As committed in my manifesto, we continue to organise farmers into Saccos, creating strong structures for access to affordable credit and reliable markets.
I was encouraged by testimonies from farmers who have benefited from our grassroots empowerment programmes, including training, provision of farm inputs, subsidised AI services, extension services and affordable loans through the Wezesha Fund. I encouraged cooperative societies to take advantage of the low-interest Wezesha Fund to expand their enterprises, noting that leading Saccos such as Olenguruone Dairy, Elburgon Progressive, and Suka Farmers Cooperative, among others, have received millions in loans.
These investments are already yielding results, with increased milk production, expanded acreage under key cash crops, growth in poultry farming, improved feed security, and progress in fisheries. I urged all beneficiaries to utilise the funds prudently to build sustainable enterprises that uplift livelihoods.
Present were Agriculture CEC Leonard Bor, Deputy CS Newton Mwaura, Chief Officers Margaret Kinyanjui and Kibet Kurgat, and MCAs led by County Assembly Agriculture Committee Chairperson Isabella Makori.

I have arrived in Kisumu, Kenya, at the invitation of H.E. William Ruto, to join him in launching the Naivasha–Kisumu–Malaba Standard Gauge Railway. This is a strategic project that will reduce the cost of transport, ease the movement of goods, and deepen economic integration within East Africa. I look forward to this engagement.
To the brainless opposition, the governance challenges at the Nairobi Hospital were nothing more than an opportunity to scavenge for cheap headlines and attention.
But as Patron of this institution, I will not stand by and watch fraudsters, charlatans, and conmen drag down one of the premier hospitals in this region.
The con artists will swiftly face the full force of the law. This institution was built on integrity, service, and excellence; values that will not be compromised by opportunists and self-serving interests. Sanity shall be restored, order will prevail, and the right thing will be done; decisively and without hesitation.
Uhuru Kenyatta did us dirty!
However, Ruto cured the problem!
There was a time oil marketers could engineer artificial oil shortages, and fuel would be out of stock.
They could then hike fuel per liter to KES 250.
Motorists used to sleep on the road.
Ruto is a good man.
Joined H E Prof Kithure Kindiki, the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, during the flag-off of this year’s edition of the Kenya Safari Rally at the Kenya Wildlife Research and Training Institute. Cabinet Secretaries Salim Mvurya (Sports) and Rebecca Miano (Tourism) also graced the occasion.
I welcomed the drivers, rally teams, and Safari Rally enthusiasts to Nakuru County, the host of the world’s greatest rally. We are blessed with an exceptional county that offers the perfect mix to test the resilience of top-notch motor vehicle engineering: rugged terrain, unpredictable weather, wildlife encounters, and a warm, hospitable population. I commended the organizers for selecting Nakuru County to host this event, which will be watched by more than 80 million people globally by the time it concludes on Sunday.
I was impressed by the number of women drivers taking part in the rally, especially the mother and daughter duo of Caroline and Tinashe Gatimu. I wish them luck in the touch encounter and for being a good example to our daughters.
I am pleased that the event serves as a major boost to our tourism sector, local traders, and contractors. I urged motor vehicle manufacturers to partner with Nakuru County in strengthening the training curriculum in mechanical and electrical engineering within our Vocational Training Centres (VTCs). We remain open to collaborations aimed at transforming the VTC training landscape in Nakuru County.
Present were Sports PS Elijah Mwangi, MP Irene Njoki, County Commissioner Loyford Kibara, Safari Rally Kenya CEO Charles Gacheru, CECs Elga Riaga and John Kihagi, Deputy CS Newton Mwaura, and Resources Mobilization Chief Officer Victor Achoka.
Privatisation is helping us to unlock immense value from our mature public assets. The Kenya Pipeline Company IPO, for example, has enabled us to raise KSh106 billion compared to the KSh5 billion in annual dividends we have been receiving over the years.
Using the National Infrastructure Fund, whose enabling law I signed on Monday, we will leverage the KSh106 billion to crowd in private capital and raise KSh1.2 trillion to finance the development of mega transformative infrastructure projects.
Through this innovative funding model, we are easing pressure on the national budget, reducing taxes, and cutting on sovereign debt. This is how we will transform Kenya in our lifetime.
Presided over the bell ringing of the Kenya Pipeline Company IPO, marking the start of share trading, at the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
The ODM-UDA Joint Parliamentary Group Meeting is currently going on at KICC.
This is a big moment in Kenya’s politics.
For years, our politics has thrived on endless rivalry and division. But when the two largest political forces in Parliament sit at the same table, it sends a powerful message: Kenya must come first.
When leaders choose conversation over confrontation, the biggest winner is the Republic of Kenya.

I thank Their Excellencies, the Heads of State of the East African Community, for entrusting me with the responsibility of serving as Chairperson of the EAC Summit for the next year.
Africa must avoid what I call “Okukonesa” , the mis-cooking of the African Revolution. Historically, our weaknesses of disunity, poor leadership and failure to adopt science allowed the continent to be colonised.
We achieved Uhuru (freedom). The next mission must be Umoja (unity).
Prosperity comes from production and markets. Fragmented markets keep Africa poor.
In Luganda we say: “Omuggo oguli ku mulirano tegugoba ngo.” The stick in the neighbour’s house cannot chase away the leopard.
Africa must build its own internal market through integration. The East African Community and continental integration are therefore not optional.
The mission remains: Uhuru na Umoja, Freedom and Unity.
