So excited to enact what @FritzTesha spoke about in @CAST_UDL webinar. My big takeaway: create assignments that empower students to bring their excellence forth- not assignments that oppress and tell them they aren't good enough. #AntiracistUDL#antiracistpedagogy @CTRL_AU
What are some techniques you have used or encountered that were intentional about including students who might not otherwise participate? Tweet using #UDLparticipation (or write on a post-it and we can collect those).

@MeganGarland18 #EDU6323 I always worry about authentic instruction- what works for one professor might not work for another. So if all professors start doing the same thing, it might feel forced by some. Never hurts to try something different in the classroom though!
@jepkep80 @MeganGarland18 #EDU6323 I hadnโt thought about access for the incarcerated. Tech moves so fast now- what we used 20, 10, even 5 years ago is so different!
@EdTechGirl2#EDU6323 Thatโs interesting to see a government use the Mesh- I have no doubt the US govt has something similar. When I asked who would benefit I was thinking more micro/community-level- urban vs. rural, socioeconomic status, not necessarily the macro/country/regional level.
#EDU6323 Kellyโs idea of The Mesh seems like something that is much farther off than 10 years. While we do have tech that reflects this movement (ie Fitbits, Nest, Echo) most items in the physical space exist on their own. How is each item going to be incorporated into this Mesh?
#EDU6323 Who will do it? Who determines what is built first? Who will be left out from this network? Iโm not sure the Mesh will benefit everyone equally nor will access be equitable.
