We learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. Students noticed how the wing patterns are symmetrical. They created beautiful butterflies showing symmetry by painting one side of the butterfly, then folding the paper

Day 1 of Jelly Bean math was a success. Students collected data by sorting colours, and using tally marks to record their results. Many practiced writing numbers as well

We had a lot of fun planting in the afternoon. Students documented the first step of the lifestyle of a plant (seed) in their Plant Journal. Then chose either sunflower or wildflower seeds. We’re excited to see the growth @HolySpiritOCSB

Yesterday, students created different objects using snap cubes. Strategies included counting how many cubes were needed vertically and horizontally

Yesterday we had Yoga as a centre. It was so relaxing

Yesterday, as a group, we created a classroom survey sheet. This afternoon, students used that sheet to ask classmates “what is your favourite animal?” They documented the results with tally marks & numbers. The room was buzzing with excitement
