BREAKING: Connecticut’s Dan Hurley has turned down the Los Angeles Lakers’ six-year, $70 million offer and will return to chase a third straight national title, sources tell ESPN. LA would’ve made him one of NBA’s six highest paid coaches.
Dan Hurley is staying at UConn, sources tell Fox Sports. After weighing his decision on whether or not to take the Lakers opening, the Huskies head coach has chosen to remain in Storrs and pursue a third consecutive national championship. A massive win & moment for Connecticut.
I don’t know if Hurley is going to coach the Lakers, but it’s not lost on me that the guy who explicitly recruits players that don’t have obnoxious parents might choose to coach Lebron and Bronny James.
@kevinnorris22@SentandEnt@LoriTrahanMA So true buddy! League has been around 27 years and never turned a profit but our congresswoman wants to pay Clark $55 million. Doesn’t make me feel great about what she’s doing with out tax $$
"You have to start talking right now about UConn in 2024 as one of the most dominant teams that we have seen ever in the NCAA tournament"
@JonRothstein think this years @UConnMBB team is one of the best ever
You could ask me for a formula of what you’d have to do to be in a game with UConn, but it’s been so long in this tournament that that has happened, I don’t even know where to begin.
The Huskies are a wagon, avalanche and machine all rolled into one. Inevitable.
