@cabbagesofdoom@jimalkhalili Most of the concerns that I've encountered are of being made obsolete. So that's what I was alluding to. It sounds like we're in agreement that people won't be obsolete, at least not entirely.
@adomhartell I'm very skeptical of anthropic reasoning applied like this. Where do you draw the "intelligent life" line? We may be mere ants compared to alien civs. Then why aren't I an actual ant since they outnumber humans enormously? Perhaps you can see why I find the argument absurd.
@aisexywaifu@OkarionBride@DJ_Link It's all about the tyres. There's only so much friction they can exert on the track surface before traction is lost, then the car skids and crashes. By using the wall as a rail the tyre friction is not needed for turning anymore, so can be used exclusively for acceleration.
