@irlsanji03@_linnamon_ The rest idgaf but stop with nuclear power fearmongering. Fukushima *treated* water's becquerels count being dischrged in the next decades would be somewhat equal to the amount of China discharged every year. Which is FINE, both thing is FINE.
@yap_clement@thexfiles125@_linnamon_ Both South Korean and Chinese IAEA delegations participates in the ratification and implementation of the cleanup plan. They KNEW, they just saw a perfect opportunity to smear Japan without they looking bad themselves.
@herzogvngrowo@thexfiles125@_linnamon_ It is not flushing, it is a rigid process of selection and water treatment and hard cap on release. The becquerels count for the next 10 years would be somewhat equals to the amount that China discharges, WHICH IS FINE
@chenbing007@_linnamon_ No??? This is the standard to be expected for nuclear cleanup because no one seems to understand that if Japan is really to dump dangerous nuclear waste to the ocean, JAPAN ITSELF will suffer the most.
@B0LD_OW@Jennyjinx@SteamedBunBunX@Yugopnik No....? Does that kid look volunteered to you? Additionally, camps like these has been persecuted in China and neighboring countries like Vietnam (which adapted that model).
@_linnamon_ Like talk shit about Japan all you want idgaf but do not fearmonger about nuclear power, esp when we are observing a good and responsible cleanup/containment process.
@_linnamon_ According to TEPCO and IAEA report, Japan to discharge, at most 22 trillion becquerels each year
For example, this demonstrate Chinese discharge:
Full disclaimer, both figures are FINE, they released within the safety threshold.
@thexfiles125@_linnamon_ As a disclaimer, this is not a bad thing, but it is so much higher than whatever the Japanese have been releasing. Chinese nuclear physicists and marine biologists participated in an IAEA plan to treat the water. They know what the fact is, but still fearmonger.
@WGB05112004@_linnamon_ China dumped more water with the higher becquerel counts in the Pacific Ocean each year than the amount of Fukushima treated water going to be released in the next 10 years
@SozariL@iamrobtv I mean his thing about "your way of honor is bad and old because it is not effective enough" while being effective in warfare was the Samurai's whole schtick. The game saw all the weird ritual stuff the Japanese did while fight war and took it at face value.
@proledevil Which, like you said, the conservative nature of it all. The thing is Vietnam has tried to be technocratic but is following all the wrong examples on developing and maintaining core technologies. All these won't affect the middle class and intelligentsia enough for them to react
@proledevil I feel the main thing with Vietnamese politics and society is the rigid nature of maintaining a status quo. People in the lower working class cannot organize and the middle class is still comfortable enough to dictate the feel of society.
