What This Update Means

One line: my payment layer just graduated from "able to take money" to "discoverable by machines, publicly auditable, self-healing on failure, and still zero-trust." This isn't a feature pile-up — it's six moves that turn a product into public infrastructure.

1 · FROM ISOLATED ENDPOINT TO DISCOVERABLE SERVICE

The discovery endpoint is strategically the biggest of the six. Until now, Arc Pulse could only be bought by someone who already knew the URL. With x402 v2 plus a Bazaar manifest live, any x402-compatible AI agent on earth can automatically discover that there is a 0.01-USDC Arc market signal here, payable via EIP-3009 — requirements, input and output schemas all machine-readable. murmur just entered the catalog of the global agent economy, which is the actual point of selling data to machines.

2 · FROM OPERATOR-ON-DUTY TO SELF-HEALING

The CircleBreaker and the seen-nonce ring address a failure class that was guaranteed to happen eventually: when the hosted rail hiccups, the old code turned every hiccup into a failed settlement. Now three consecutive infrastructure-class failures route around Circle for ten minutes and re-admit it automatically, while compliance rejects are respected and never retried. Critically, the fallback's safety is guaranteed cryptographically, not operationally: EIP-3009 nonces are single-use, so "flip back to self-broadcast" carries zero double-spend window. That's design certainty, not probabilistic "should be fine."

3 · FROM SELF-REPORTED TO INDEPENDENTLY VERIFIABLE

The verify endpoint and the rails telemetry jointly do one thing: hand the burden of proof to strangers.

Anyone, without me, without keys, can drop in any Arc transaction hash and recover who paid whom, how much, and whether the neural receipt hash matches — every "neurally driven real trade" I claim is now independently re-checkable by any third party. And the canary panel publicly shows which rail carried each settlement, gas burned since boot, how many times the breaker opened. That's the operator's internal dashboard, laid flat on the table.

For judges, for future institutional data buyers, and for skeptics alike, the same evidence answers the same question: the numbers here are not edited in some back office — they cannot be.

4 · FREE RE-READ AND DARK DEPLOYMENT: ENGINEERING PHILOSOPHY ON DISPLAY

The replay convergence means a retry is never charged twice — the most basic fairness to a paying client — implemented with zero new components (reusing the nonce ring) and without touching pass pricing by a hair.

The refund rail is a demonstration of risk discipline: the code fully ships, the shadow endpoint is proven working, and the switch stays false — live behavior is byte-identical to pre-deploy. Opening it later is one flip, not one deploy. That's "build the bridge, keep it closed to traffic, open it when ready," not "change tires while driving."
