Should the Tennessee #Titans sign Jarvis Landry?

The former Saint, Brown and former favorite target for Ryan Tannehill in Miami has seen a decline each of the past seasons dating back to 2019 with only accumulating 272 yards last year. Granted this comes on the back of only playing in 9 games.

Even with that, his average yards per catch has steadily decreased as well from 14.1, 11.7, 11.0 to finally 10.9 last year with only 1 touchdown.

Now to play devils advocate a bit. Landry did start the season very strong accounting for 11 receptions for 139 yards in the first two weeks before going down with a grade 2 ankle sprain. You could potentially argue that even at 30 years of age, if he was to stay healthy a full season an aging receiver who’s body is slowing down could be successful past his prime in the NFL. You might look at a technician like Landry that was never a premier athlete for his position at any point in time in his 9 year career.

In conclusion, for what Landry will cost to bring in and with the direction the Titans are going I’d prefer not to see Jarvis in two-tone blue this season. Give players like Dowell, Copeland, Harrison, Jackson, Roberson, McMath and Philips the snaps to show what they’ve got. This way we can better assess the position next season with a large influx of cash.
