Carpe Diem.
This is my message to you this week.
Where and who you hang out with is very important to your growth.
If you want to be a lawyer then hang out with lawyers. A doctor? Hang out with doctors.
Likewise if you want to become a mechanic then make sure that you’re not hanging out with plumbers.
Additionally, no one is born with any abilities other than to breathe, eat and shit. Everything else is learned and acquired.
If someone can do something then you too can do it. However if everyone can do something then it becomes less valuable. So you must stand head and shoulders above.
I had a neighbor back in Texas. Ex U.S. Marine. A fitness freak. Runs 10 miles just for fun. I simply couldn’t operate at his trained level. I give this example to show that it’s also okay to be realistic.
Good luck and Carpe Diem.
