I was in 7th or 8th std probably studying at my tution teacher's home(living room)along with my friends,and overheard some neighbour kid coming out in the corridor,telling his friend,"Are India ka woh naya keeper aya hai na Dhoni,kya tod raha hai pakistan walo ko,tu dekh raha hai k nahi"He said that with so much joy and loud enough that everyone of us heard and to our surprise our teacher switched on the tv for 5 mins so that we could see the score and be happy,as it was already our leaving time,that moment,those 5/6 minutes of batting from this man left me awestruck and immediately after coming home watched his batting,the arrival of MS DHONI THE LEGEND IN MAKING,THE MONSTEROUS 148 OF 123 destroying Shahi Afridi and leaving him clueless along with every other pak bowler,that was the day this man stole my heart and a bond of a lifetime was made with him as a fan,the love the respect the admiration has only grown multifolds year after year from then till now almost 2 decades later here in my 30s I still sit and cheer for him like the same young school going kid,with same enthusiasm,I cried when you announced your retirement,I cried when you were upset,I cried when you cried,I've cried with tears of happiness too everytime whenever you've given me and crores of fans like me a billion reasons to cherish even a minutest thing about you,there has probably never been a great player than you to wear that national jersey,in terms of legacy,even 2 more decades down the line Indian Cricket Team as well as a billion fans across this entire globe will forever be indebted to you for existing @msdhoni

All the emotions I've felt since last night are beyond words. Crying and crying while my parents tried to comfort me, feeling so empty inside when I woke up this morning after just a few hours of sleep, struggling to rest, waking up for Church, feeling so hollow inside. Unimaginable, tbh. Felt like a personal heartbreak. More than just my team failing to qualify, it was about not giving a proper send-off to a legend who gave everything for my team, if yesterday was his last. 💔 My mind kept shifting between, 'What if MS had made that dive in 2019!?' and 'What if that shot yesterday had cleared the boundary for a six!?'

Two heartbreaks that cut deep, Mann. This isn't how it was meant to end for a cricketer like MS Dhoni, if yesterday was the end game. It's still tearing me apart inside.
