Sukanya Devi, aged 24 years, is a resident of Amethi. She is the daughter of Balram Singh and Sumitra Devi. Sukanya used to consider Rahul Gandhi as her ideal.

She has been waiting for an opportunity to meet Rahul for the last 2 years. Balram Singh has been a loyal Congress worker since Indira's time.

Amethi is considered a stronghold of the Congress since the era of Indira & Nehru.

On 3rd December 2006, Rahul Gandhi was camping at Amethi along with 6 others. Out of the 7, 3 of them were British, 2 Italians, and 1 unknown youth.

It is December 3, 2006. At that time it was 9 o'clock at night. And it was getting very cold.

Around 9 P.M., all of them were drinking liquor at a V.I.P. guest house in a high-security zone.

Sukanya Devi, who was waiting to meet Rahul Gandhi for 2 years, went to the guest house to meet Rahul.

But the security officer there allowed only one person to go inside, so Sukanya went to Rahul alone.

Inside the room were Rahul Gandhi, three more British, two Italians, and an unknown youth. Media reports also state that Rahul Gandhi was drinking alcohol.

Rahul Gandhi proposed to Sukanya to drink alcohol while making fun of her. Sukanya was amazed to see all this, and she was feeling uncomfortable. She refused to have liquor and took permission to leave, but she was forced to stay back and drink.

She kept resisting, but they raped her one by one. She cried for help, but her cries fell on deaf ears. Even the security personnel preferred to remain as mute spectators.

She kept weeping all along. It is also said that Sukanya was given Rs 50,000 to keep quiet.

Along with this, Rahul Gandhi also threatened that Sukanya's entire family would be killed if she told anyone about the incident of rape. Saying this, Sukanya was thrown out of the guest house.
