@ThundaJ739@JWC7215C@dubsonlysports Even if you wanna say feel can be taught, ask yourself why do some players develop it to a higher level than others? If you think MJ is considered the goat purely because he put in more work and had better development programs, idk what to say to you.
@ThundaJ739@JWC7215C@dubsonlysports That’s not what I’m asking. I asked: if you take 18yr old MJ, and any other 18yr old player, put them in the same training and development throughout their careers, will that other 18yr old player turn out to be as good as MJ was? If not, why?
@ThundaJ739@JWC7215C@dubsonlysports No. Why? Training and development build skill. Talent is what determines how far your training takes you. Even in basketball, talent is largely mental. It’s an understanding of not just what to do but how and when. It’s IQ + Feel for the game that can’t be taught.
@ThundaJ739@JWC7215C@dubsonlysports Okay. Let’s run an experiment. If you put any other player alongside MJ at 18 yrs old and put them through the same training and development, does that player turn out to be as “talented” as MJ? 1/2
@keepmoremoney@0nly1Melo@NobletStrength Absolutely. I understand your notion, and I agree it’s part of why you’re behind, but I’m saying the biggest reason you’re behind is because of the lack of inherent talent. Better development can’t fix or grow what isn’t there.
@keepmoremoney@0nly1Melo@NobletStrength No disrespect but again you’re showing how clueless you are. All of what you’re saying doesn’t address my point. I’m not denying the importance of development, but again, talent in football is not something you can coach or develop. You have it or you don’t
@keepmoremoney@0nly1Melo@NobletStrength Your ignorance of football is so glaring. You keep mentioning development and structure and I’m telling you those things are not important when discussing talent. You think development and structure gave us dinho? Maradona? Zidane? lol
@0nly1Melo@keepmoremoney@NobletStrength It’s a cultural thing. Again, talent in football is bred by a love for the sport culturally, kids need to be raised looking up to and learning from elite players in their country. That’s what breeds talent. It’s the same reason why you don’t see much nba talent outside the US.
@0nly1Melo@keepmoremoney@NobletStrength The kids raised in the English ‘system’ are robots. Even though their programs are better, they only serve to pump out pros who are great in modern football systems. But those systems don’t actually breed elite players.
@0nly1Melo@keepmoremoney@NobletStrength No, even mbappe, when compared to truly elite players in football history, is not elite. My point is that talent in football is largely mental, it’s about iq and understanding feel. It can’t be taught by coaching or elite programs.
@JWC7215C@dubsonlysports You’re assuming that general athletic talent should cross over into football but it doesn’t work that way. In football Talent is not something you can train or develop. It’s separate from skill. You can have all the technical skill and physicality and still be rubbish
@keepmoremoney@0nly1Melo@NobletStrength Of course. It’s not about the amount of elite strikers, it’s about the gap between him and them. They have talent that doesn’t get taught by elite coaching and development systems. I can see he won’t be able to close that gap even if he grows because he doesn’t have that talent.
@keepmoremoney@NobletStrength Talent in football is born from culture that loves the sport, kids looking up to talented players from their countries. You have neither, and a ‘development machine’ isn’t gonna help with that.
@keepmoremoney@NobletStrength You have plenty of talent in the sport’s popular in your nation. You don’t have the talent in football. The quality of your league shows that. Quality coaching and development grows successful pros, it doesn’t just pump out elite footballers. That’s down to talent alone.
@0nly1Melo@keepmoremoney@NobletStrength But it’s not about development. Respectfully, your good strike doesn’t even scratch the surface of elite strikers currently. So what does that say about this so called better development?
@keepmoremoney@NobletStrength Lmaoooo This has to be rage bait. Not you thinking ‘education’ and ‘development’ is what breeds talent in football. Keep dreaming.
@JWC7215C@dubsonlysports “We have the talent, we don’t have the development”. Again, you DON’T have the talent. Talent in football is born from culture that loves the sport, kids looking up to talented players from their countries. You have neither, and a ‘development machine’ isn’t gonna help with that.
@JWC7215C@dubsonlysports Depends on your definition of athleticism. And like I said, regardless of if you think these players are elite athletes, athleticism ≠ talent.
