@dartszn15@realmaceblack We can get him other receiving threats in the later rounds. Plus, Dart's already proven he can work with limited options, so it would be smart to fix the actual holes on the team.
@macksjulien@LeekNabers Harbaugh already said we’re gonna be more run heavy, and it’s already a dumb idea to draft a WR2 with a top 5 pick. So it’s gonna be Downs, Styles, or OL
@LanceZierlein Giants
1. IDL - Dex keeps getting double teamed and our other DTs aren't good enough to take advantage, which lead to our terrible run defense.
2. iOL - Although our pass blocking was really good this year, our run blocking still wasn't that good, so it has to be addressed.
@MatthewMey20297@Giants_muse Yeah, I definitely wanna trade back as well but the only players I could see someone moving up for are one of the edges, and they may be all gone by the time we pick.
@MatthewMey20297@Giants_muse And yes, we have talent on D, but they still weren't good, and not all of it was coaching. So if there's a clear chance to upgrade, we have to take it. We'd be failing Dart by not giving him a defense to back him up and relieve pressure.
@MatthewMey20297@Giants_muse Yeah, absolutely not. Our defense was literally the reason we lost games, so it has to be addressed early. Idk why wanna become the Bengals so bad instead of taking BPA in Caleb Downs and fixing the defense. Worry about receiver on day 2.
@whtaftstub@MisterGHF He was a huge bust, but almost no one remembers him since corner isn’t as valuable as QB or tackle. Now let’s go to Zack Wilson, and Evan Neal. They play higher value positions and they’re remembered far worse. So like I said, a bust is a bust no matter what position.
@whtaftstub@MisterGHF A bust is a bust no matter what position and is always inexcusable. This really only applies to players who may be projects with extremely low floors, and Downs is the complete opposite. Let’s use Jeff Okudah for example even though he plays a different position-
@buffano33@JeauxBiden69@J0nesToChina Problem is we’re talking about a WR2 and I don’t think there has ever been a receiver drafted in the top 5 expected to be a second option. So it’s not worth it especially in such a deep receiver class.
@AnswerIsLibrty@mrstaywithhisG@MarshallGreen_ I can understand tackle, but in what world is a WR2 more valuable than an elite safety? You can find good receivers all over the draft but there’s only one Caleb Downs.
