Watching 90’s Batman, what happened to entertainment? It’s a much more mature and detailed style than cartoons have today. It’s like we actually trusted kids to have some level of maturity back then.
Sad to learn about the passing of Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Batman in much of the media going back to the 90’s. Batman: The Animated series was a big part of my childhood and it still holds up amazingly well today.
@elonmusk I liked paying for old twitter blue for the edit and time delay features. I don’t like how public the check mark makes it now. Can a toggle be added to turn the check mark off? Personally I don’t care about verification outside of the bad joke I made earlier
@ID_AA_Carmack Has moving the computing unit and battery pack to something like a fanny pack / belt pack been tried before? Then running a short cable to the display assembly for a super light weight experience. Would that be too much latency?
If they actually talked to users that would be nice too. Seems like once you stop being a startup no one actually sits down and has a conversation with the people they’re supposedly making things for.

In all seriousness, after about a month of fighting the compiler when I started, Rust has become one of my favorite languages. It also helps that I'm not doing a lot stateful work rn, I hit interior mutability on day one which added a lot of difficulty to the learning curve.
As long as I never touch memory management or threads or async -- Rust is great! I'm super productive!

Me, standing outside Geoffrey Hinton’s office, matted hair, bloodshot eyes, shouting at passers-by: IT’S ALL A SCAM. THERE IS NO AI. NEURAL NETS ARE JUST MATRIX OPERATIONS. *sobbing softly as guards approach* they’re just matrix operations.
Sitting at the gate, waiting for the flight back to JFK. It's been a really great trip and I'm hoping to do something like this more regularly now. Trips like this are great for resetting your frame of mind and recognizing what's really important to you.
