Nas’s child’s mother, Carmen Bryan, is accusing N.O.R.E. of sexually assaulting her at a Manhattan nightclub in 1999, according to a lawsuit obtained by Rolling Stone.

Bryan alleges that N.O.R.E., whose real name is Victor Santiago, approached her while “visibly intoxicated” as he promoted his upcoming sophomore album, Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler.

She alleges that Santiago physically overpowered her despite her pleas for him to stop, and that other clubgoers eventually pulled him away.

According to the lawsuit, Bryan fled the club crying uncontrollably. Santiago allegedly followed her outside, continued making crude comments and repeatedly asked, “Don’t you know who I am?”

Once outside, Santiago allegedly recognized Bryan as Nas’ partner and immediately apologized. Bryan alleges that he later apologized again at a joint Father’s Day event and birthday party for Bryan and Nas’ daughter.

Bryan says she remained publicly silent about the alleged assault for years. According to the lawsuit, reading Cassie Ventura’s 2023 lawsuit against Sean Combs triggered traumatic memories of the alleged incident, after which Bryan says she began experiencing flashbacks and struggled to eat and sleep.

Bryan ultimately filed a lawsuit against Santiago under New York City’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, seeking damages for emotional distress and mental anguish.
