This is what @HalewoodTC think is a suitable repair to the pitch. Sand threw down on top of the parts that are damaged.

If a player was to get his foot caught in this it would cause a high chance of a serious injury!

(Part 2)

[Kingsthorne JFC @kingsthorne_JFC]

Unfortunately due to @HalewoodTC boys and girls will be missing out on playing football over the next few weeks if not months while we try to repair our pitches.

A Fair was set up on our pitches by the council on Saturday even though we asked to not go on the pitch.

Such a great servant to refereeing and also a great person off the pitch.

Grassroots through and through.

RIP Les Roberts

[Liverpool FA @Liverpool_CFA]

We're saddened to hear about the passing of Les Roberts.

Les was a long-serving, dedicated referee of grassroots football in Merseyside.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
