@GBNCOC The Catholic Church is, in fact, the only church that truly believes in the authority of scripture, and operates under the authority of Christ. All Protestant churches deny that authority and become gods unto themselves.
@gomiam@simonmaechling You don't know how science works. See, he does this to provide evidence for a hypothesis which other scientists test to see if it's repeatable. I say other scientists because we all know what the results would be. Which is the real "because"- that he doesn't believe his own talk.
@DrNeilStone You don't practice in America, where dr's get paid bonuses for the more medications they prescribe. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before giving an ignorant opinion.
@simonmaechling That's a lie. Selective breeding is not generic modification, which by definition is the introduction of genetics from other sources, such as animals or different types of plants; things that would never naturally cross. Huge difference. But nice try at selectively representing.
@simonmaechling Simon, challenge: I'll eat nothing but a healthy, whole food diet for the next year. You mix the chemicals in your lab to create the exact same meals, but you don't get to eat anything other than your chemical concoctions. Let's see who is healthier in a year.
@IanCopeland5 If you're correct, that viruses existed before humans (you can't prove that), it still wouldn't mean that specific ones couldn't have been created in a lab.
Basic microbiology.
How dumb and arrogant can you be?
@simonmaechling I keep offering you a challenge which you have yet to accept. I'll eat a whole food diet for 1 year, you have the exact same diet, except made up of chemicals you mix in your lab. Let's see who is healthier at the end of the year.
Ready to prove your faith in chemicals?
@simonmaechling Perhaps because you've never explained the science and have, in fact, denied the science.
I offer again, for the next year, I'll eat only whole foods, you eat only the exact same meals, but made up of chemicals you mix in your lab. Let's see who is healthier at the end of year.
