Genuinely, might be controversial, but this is how I view Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies - and it’s the reason why the latest movie works so well

This isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy the “backstory” movies, but I think early days people HATED the fact that we didn’t get an MCU Spider-Man Origin story and that we were launched straight into Spider-Man teaming with avengers or wanting to be like Tony Stark.

It’s important for the narrative that Peter gets a grasp of the life he wants just for it to be ripped away from him, and we see that time and time again in these movies until Peter Parker reaches his breaking point in NWH and realising what it means to be Spider-Man
