You don’t add them subtract. It add and/or subtract left to right. Doesn’t matter if it’s subtraction then addition, or vise versa. It’s left to right regardless of order. Same for multiply and/or divide. So 2x3=6. Then subtraction left first since it’s on the left. 2-6=-4 Then add. -4+3=-1. Parentheses/exponents are equal hierarchy. Multiply/divide are equal hierarchy. Add/subtract are equal hierarchy.
