I completely understand why Turkish GTA fans like @rockstarturk & @Ataritacom, are campaigning for Turkish language support in GTA 6. Wanting to experience one of the biggest games ever made in your native language is a perfectly reasonable request, and I genuinely hope @RockstarGames considers it.
That said, there are a few things worth remembering. Supporting another language isn't simply a case of running the script through a translator. GTA games contain an enormous amount of dialogue, subtitles, menus, tutorials, websites, adverts, TV shows, radio stations, mission text and UI, all of which has to be translated, edited, checked for consistency, tested in-game and maintained for years through updates.
On top of that, Grand Theft Auto relies heavily on satire, wordplay, cultural references and jokes that don't always translate naturally into other languages. A direct translation can lose the original meaning or humour, so localizers often have to rewrite lines entirely while trying to preserve Rockstar's intent and tone. That's a far more creative and time-consuming process than many people realise.
Every additional language also adds significant QA work. Text has to fit the interface, subtitles need correct timing, mission prompts need testing, and every future patch or piece of new content has to be localized as well. It's an ongoing commitment rather than a one-off task.
Ultimately, publishers have to make commercial decisions too. Every language has a cost, so they'll look at factors such as how many players are likely to use it, the long-term support required, and where those resources are best invested. That doesn't mean Turkish players don't matter - it simply means companies have to draw the line somewhere.
I hope Turkish support happens, because it would allow even more people to enjoy the game. But if it doesn't, I think the explanation is far more likely to be production scope, localization complexity and business priorities than a lack of appreciation for Turkish fans.
