This is called a distortion of meaning and, essentially, a manipulation of public perception. Let me explain why:
1.Fiscal revenue ≠ economic gain.
Yes, money did flow into the U.S. treasury — but not from China. It came from American companies and consumers, who ultimately paid those tariffs.
China didn’t pay a dime. The entire burden fell within the U.S. economy.
2.This is political marketing in its purest form.
The numbers are being presented as a “victory” in the trade war, while in reality, it’s a domestic tax disguised as external pressure.
❗️ This is not criticism, just to make it clear what’s what.
@Lesufi Ntate Lesufi , why are we having a reactive government? Kids died due to items sold by illegal spaza shops trading , our reacted by introducing permits , deadline was extended and passed but now you still find spaza shops operating without permits, kanti where is law enforcement?
@sdoinho@SeanDOlfc I can’t agree more with you on this one/ Elliot is not my favourite player but so much better so is Chiesa better than Darwin : but as for the Captain and Konate what a disgrace
@News24@JasonFelix I’m convinced there’s not one intelligent person in the replies to this.
This isn’t a “refugee camp” it’s a place to process paperwork and conduct interviews.
I think we must review whether a person advocating for the cessesion of a province and division of our country qualifies to be granted citizenship of our country @AtholT@MikaNgobeni@MatJGeorge
@Jason2bartlett Rubbish. I moved here from UK, set up, ran & quadrupled the turnover of a successful healthcare business, created 110 jobs, salary matched on gender/race, achieved an employee profile that matched the country & never HAD to give a single percentage point to anyone to do that...
[WATCH] Police Minister Senzo Mchunu says they've discovered that the Zimbabwean man arrested for the murders of five community patrollers at the Marry Me informal settlement in Soshanguve is undocumented. He says he was also found in possession of an unlicensed firearm. #Newzroom405
@atletiuniverse Atletico played a a very good game and should have won in normal time if they didn’t park the bus unfortunately they have been too defensive:the reality is Alvarez did double touch the ball
