Honestly, I’m beginning to understand how colonialism succeeded in Africa. It wasn’t simply a matter of the colonizers being powerful, our lack of unity also played a major role. While some Africans were resisting colonial rule, others were cooperating with the colonizers and helping them weaken the resistance. Some freedom fighters were betrayed, captured by fellow Africans and handed over to colonial authorities to be killed. Division among Africans has always made it easier for others to control us and even today, we keep falling into the same trap.

when you meet someone, you can almost always tell which social media platform fine tuned their brain / thoughts. esp in nyc.

e.g. most ppl likely now have an insta personality / aesthetic outlook (esp women), or a reddit personality (likely dudes), or maybe even an x personality (weirdos) to some extent. i guess chatgpt is likely the next personality influencer too.
