Ever since Shashi Tharoor contested the Congress Presidential Election, such news stories have been planted every month by some Politicians & Reporters and each time they are disappointed.

These people want the Gandhi family to always view Tharoor with suspicion and that is precisely what is happening.

Those who know Shashi Tharoor know that Tharoor will one day leave politics but will not join any other party, there is hardly anyone more Gandhian & Nehruvian than him.

Photos of my recent events have prompted many to enquire about why my right foot is back in an AirCast, and what my new glasses are about. The answers are simple. After my foot injury in Parliament on February 4, I had finally felt healed enough to remove my AirCast in March and to campaign throughout Kerala in ordinary footwear. That proved unwise, as a post-campaign MRI revealed, and I am back in protective gear for some more time. As to the glasses, a simple cataract surgery explains them; one eye last Monday, the other to follow next Monday — and another two weeks or so of dorky eyewear!
