@techspence Nothing screams network engineering life like taking a 3:00 AM taxi to the data center because a policy push bricked the firewall. Ah, the good old days
A man once asked Shani Dev,
“Why do you take away what people love?”
Shani replied,
“I do not always take it away. Sometimes I simply stop protecting the illusion that it can never be taken away.”
The man remained silent.
Shani continued:
“When wealth makes you arrogant, I show you uncertainty.
When position becomes your identity, I make you stand without it.
When people become your strength, I let you walk alone.
When every door opens easily, I introduce you to waiting.
Not because I hate you- but because you have forgotten what cannot be taken from you.”
The man asked, “And what is that?”
Shani replied:
“Your karma. Your character. Your patience. Your truth. And the consciousness you develop through everything you endure.”
Shani’s greatest lesson is not loss. It is detachment without becoming indifferent- to possess, but not be possessed; to love, but not depend; to succeed, but not become your success.
And perhaps that is why Shani walks slowly- because the lessons that change a soul are never learned in a hurry.
For all the the IT admins asking, how do I make Active Directory MORE defensible. This is how…

Oh god, what a utter waste of money. You need engineers to create a "modern aircraft manufacturing company", not tel-sabun MBAs and their PPTs.
Although two things are guaranteed:
1. HAL won't change one bit.
2. A few dozen babu kids have sealed their college + job seat in the West.
No cybersecurity professionals got to where they are without actually getting their hands dirty first.
And I’m not talking class and portfolio projects.

ROFL I'll get rid of the bee in my bonnet about the code thing.... my point isn't about the code thing specifically.. it's about helping people not feel pushed out, it's about people realising there is far more than one thing in this game! There's also the point that, if you need to code, you can learn, but if if you don't, you don't need to! Shockingly complex isn't it!

Poor and middle-class households send their kids to the fauj to safeguard the very freedom that lets rich, entitled brats sit in their safe homes and write articles calling those very soldiers settlers, aggressors, paid mercenaries, and worse.
Had it been in any other language, it would’ve won a national award. But since it’s in Kannada it was ignored. And even after countless amazing performances, Vishnuvardhan is yet to receive a Padma award.
