I crawl back to this platform every time there’s something remotely nerdy. If you’re in the path of totality, grab a white sheet before you head outside

We see you have experience as a radio host. Would you like to be a hostess at Olive Garden or president of Warner Brothers music?
Physical media is almost a Fahrenheit 451 (where people memorized entire books and thus became the book they loved) level of responsibility. If you own a great 4K HD, Blu-ray, DVD etc etc of a film or films you love... you are the custodian of those films for generations to come.
It’s Thanksgiving week and time for my annual film recommendation.
It’s the same film as every Thanksgiving week.
Avalon. A 1990 Barry Levinson movie about immigrants coming to America, and the next two generations of the same families.
It’s a beautiful movie. Well written, well acted and lushly filmed.
I think of it as a Thanksgiving movie because of one scene; an annual extended family Thanksgiving dinner. It so much reminds me of my father’s immigrant family. I can see my uncles and aunts in the characters, my cousins in some of the younger characters. I love this movie.
A clip of the Thanksgiving scene: “You cut the toikey without me!!”

I had gotten hit in a car wreck and spun around so hard that the hair tie flew out of my hair. That was the only thing I could focus on. @LizOnTheRadio came to the scene and pulled hers out of her hair and gave it to me. I’ll never forget that❤️
