I just wanna say that us Caymanians need to start standing up for ourselves. We owe it to ourselves and future generations to take back our country and start taking up space in our own country. We might be outnumbered but we still hold the power of only we’d recognize that.
dealing with these financial institutions on my own as a first time home buyer is quite possibly the most stressful and discouraging thing i’ve ever done in my life
@AssholeWailord little 400-500k loan?? all i’m asking for is slightly over 300k as i’ve already paid 10% deposit, and they still want at least ANOTHER 10% down plus closing costs. it’s a joke.
mortgage discussions with banks as a young caymanian is so discouraging. can work hard and save for years, have a decent salary and still not qualify for basic 1 bed apartments.
spent too much focus on selling us out to foreigners and forgot about housing the next generation.
no regulations on who can buy property in cayman, how much property a non-caymanian can own and giving them the benefits only caymanians should reap got us here.
ashamed of all the governments that landed us in this position.
