The #SupremeCourtPH (SC) marked the third anniversary of its Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations 2022-2027 (SPJI) with a program held on October 22, 2025 in Manila, reaffirming its commitment to a responsive, accessible, and technology-driven Judiciary. Launched under the leadership of Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, the SPJI continues to serve as the SC’s blueprint for institutional reform and collaboration across the Judiciary, the justice sector, and development partners.
Guided by the principles of Timely and Fair Justice, Transparent and Accountable Justice, Equal and Inclusive Justice, and Technologically Adaptive Management, the SPJI aims to achieve three core outcomes: Efficiency, through streamlined court systems and performance evaluations; Innovation, through ICT infrastructure; and Access, through inclusivity, transparency, and accountability.
In his keynote message to development partners and the media, Chief Justice Gesmundo outlined the Judiciary’s progress under the SPJI. He stated that the Court is halfway through its innovation and reform journey. He underscored that most of activities undertaken in the past year involved gradual technological integration into court processes and operations. Despite challenges, the determination to achieve the ultimate goal of delivering real-time and responsive justice in the digital age, remains robust and unwavering.
In his welcome remarks, Senior Associate Justice Marvic M.V.F. Leonen reflected on the SC's three-year journey under the SPJI, describing it as a “living document” that evolves with the times. He presented key milestones achieved in its third year, highlighting teamwork and persistence in pursuing reform.
Chief Justice Gesmundo and SAJ Leonen were joined by Associate Justices Ramon Paul L. Hernando, Rodil V. Zalameda, Ricardo R. Rosario, Jhosep Y. Lopez, Jose Midas P. Marquez, Antonio T. Kho, Jr., and Raul B. Villanueva. The ceremony was moderated by SC Spokesperson Atty. Camille Sue Mae L. Ting, while Chief Communications Officer Atty. Michael Jobert I.
