congrats to @onrefinance on $300M AUM, new ATH 🥂
$100M in February
$200M by June
$246M in July
$280M in August
now $300M in September.
That growth in just a few months is BIG
Built from the ground up on Solana and it just kept growing
this is why I think people should start paying closer attention to OnRe.
It shows that more capital is flowing into what they’re building and the growth hasn’t been a one-time jump either. They’ve been hitting new levels month after month.
If you’ve been watching $ONyc and still haven’t taken a proper look at OnRe, I think you’re sleeping on it.
$300M today.
Let’s see how far they take it from here.
People might see the quiet hurricane season and think the risk is gone, but that’s not really how this works.
I was reading through @onrefinance latest update and picked up a few points along the way.
So far in 2026, the Atlantic has had just 5 named storms and 0 hurricanes, with ACE around 93% below the normal level for this point in the season.
But a quiet season doesn’t mean the risk disappears.
One major event in the right place can still cause a huge amount of damage. Where the storm hits, how much is insured there, the type of coverage and where the reinsurance kicks in all matter.
Then OnRe comes in.
They spread the exposure across different risks and different parts of the market; earthquakes, wildfires, floods, severe storms and others.
They also don’t just deploy capital because it’s available. They look at the risk, how long the money is tied up, where losses start to hit, how concentrated the exposure is and how everything fits into the wider portfolio
Also, the reinsurance positions are fully collateralized, with the capital funded upfront and kept separate for the different programs.
So when I look at $ONyc, i also want to know what is behind that yield and how the risk is being handled.
That matters a lot more than just looking at the APY and jumping in.
