Recapping this week in wrestling Twitter:

- To the surprise of no-one with an IQ over 50, AEW’s quality dog walked WWE yet again following the latest feeble effort at counter-programming by the obsessed market leader. Another show of memorable moments from the PPV kings was followed by the typical WWE PLE lay out of 1 good match and a pile of bloody diarrhoea.

- ESPN angered WWE fans by overrating WrestlePalooza and giving it a C. For slightly dim podcasters who yell for a living, this non-bias journalism was a step too far for their comprehension.

- Gail Kim channeled her inner Brandi Rhodes and brought out her feared ‘hood side’ following heavy criticism after referring to Riho as a little girl no less than 8 times during some passive aggressive rants as she waves her arms frantically for a legend’s deal. After Kenny Omega sent her packing with a brutal retort to her relatively inane attempts at justification and deflection, she took shelter behind two of the most unwanted people still desperately loitering around wrestling in Jimmy Korderas and Jim Cornette.

- Jack Perry made his return to AEW after a year long absence and hugged his dinosaur, leading to CM Punk fans showing just how unbothered they were by tweeting relentlessly about it. Or it may well have been because his mixed tag match a few hours later was pretty, pretty shit and they were merely projecting….

- MJF left the far-right irate by outing himself as a non-racist as he told a lonely bigot to end it all. People who assumed he was like them because his on-screen character is a deplorable cunt who hates the world were left in a state on confusion and racism.

- Triple H decided to counter the narrative that he doesn’t ever listen to what fans want after 18 months of not listening to what fans want by showing he actually does listen to fans, and pretended to u-turn on the sought after match between John Cena and AJ Styles that has been in the pipeline for ages. What a swerve, right guys?!

- One of the worst actors in pro wrestling history had to pretend she was shocked at being introduced into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame by MAGA’s favourite son during one of Triple H’s lauded ‘surprises’ at WrestlePalooza. Oh wait, that was it? That was THE surprise? Holy shit.

- Santino Marella became to latest case for further CTE examinations within the industry by stating a potential £10m a year tv deal for TNA could launch them into 2nd place before long. Ahead of a company who made nearly a third of that in gate sales for a single PPV this summer.
