Today we're talking about #doyouhearme?
It's important that people with learning disabilities are heard, especially when it comes to medical treatment or dealing with professionals. Our group felt they have been treated by professionals.
#doyousee#learningdisabilityweek2024
Today's topic is 'will you work with me?'
With the right support and opportunities, people with learning disabilities can thrive and the people we interviewed, felt a lot of supported in their local area, but there's room for improvement.
#doyousee#learningdisabilityweek2024
Today we're focusing on 'do you understand me'?
Sometimes it can be difficult for people with learning disabilities to be heard.
This is what our group members had to say
#doyousee#learningdisabilityweek2024
This year's theme for Learning Disability Week is 'do you see me'?
We asked some of our regular group members who have learning disabilities whether they feel seen and how much support their receive in their local communities.

We had a great time today, looking round the brand-new accident and emergency unit up at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. Our guys thought it looked much better. They really like the colour coding of the wards and the quiet waiting area for people.
