Lisa Kudrow reveals the miserable truth behind the iconic ‘Friends’ fountain intro and how Matthew Perry saved it.
The opening credits of Friends look like a group of twenty-somethings having the time of their lives. In reality, it was a freezing cold night, the cast had done 500 takes of unmotivated dancing, and everyone was miserable.

“It was so cold and we had to keep doing it. And they said we’re gonna do one more take, and Matthew said, ‘One more? Okay. Can’t remember a time I wasn’t in a fountain… what are we, wet?
