@MativoMJohn If we go as per your theory, consolidation will actually cause subsidence. it is associated with over‑exploitation of aquifers as a result of pore‑pressure change, which your figure explains, your figure demonstrates what's happening in Nairobi not Naivasha.
@AmbokoJH If the president had consistently prioritized merit in his appointments as he has done today, Kenya would be in a much better position. This approach would also inspire and motivate individuals who are working hard by demonstrating that meritocracy is rewarded.
@JerotichSeii In our study (https://t.co/peMDpWKFhg), we detected multiple sites in Nairobi undergoing land subsidence due to overexploitation of ground water. Kilimani is among the sites that is undergoing rapid land subsidence.
EACC wants Kenneth Kamumbu Mugo removed from office as the Superintendent Engineer of Roads in the Ministry of Roads and Transport for using a fake engineering degree.
The forged Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering purported to be issued by the University of Nairobi in 2006 to secure employment as Director of Roads and Transport at Kiambu County government before joining ministry of roads.
He also used it to obtain a masters and later PhD from JKUAT.
The first InSAR and pixel offset result of ALOS-2 from GSI, showing a max 3m LOS displacement.

@UFKenya@mugo_amwai@sangdebby Again lack of access to loan implies the 7% limit for household contribution will not hold, which in principle is not in line with the proposed funding model. Why not issue conditional loan to be disbursed when the student gets the ID. Your law on I'd will lock out many students
@UFKenya@mugo_amwai@sangdebby That is being insensitive. How will a parent whose child has been admitted to medicine afford the fees, if he can not access loan just because of I'd. Does the student has to defer until they get ID?
@DavidNdii Since the household contribution is capped at 7 %, why are universities sending fees structure with the total cost for GOK funded students? This is what is causing panic coupled with no clear communication from ministry of education that has resulted to alot of misinformation.
