Wonderful news. 👏🏻
Many congrats to my dear friend @bevcraig who has done incredible work leading our council, and I know she’d lead our city-region in the same way.
Keir Starmer can leave with his head held high knowing that he's done an amazing job. #Labour
NHS waiting lists down
Immigration down
Fastest growing economy in the G7

Over 300,000 homes built

And many many more
I’ll fight to make sure everyone shares in the success Greater Manchester is building - making sure there’s more money in people's pockets, pride in every town centre with a New High Streets Fund, a new generation of council and affordable homes and an expanded Bee Network that freezes fares and that works for all of us. 🐝 🌹
Keir Starmer’s place in history is assured. We owe Keir a debt of gratitude for taking Labour from its worst electoral defeat in 2019, bringing Labour back into government with a huge majority in 2024 and then guiding Britain through difficult times nationally and globally.
Good news for Chorlton.
As a result of more funding to the council budget from the Labour Government, Chorlton Library will be open on Sundays from 26 September 2026 between 12-4pm. It’s great news for Chorlton residents. #chorlton#chorltonlibrary
@mathewhbenham@MCRActive@ChorltonLabour Fantastic to see cycling being taken seriously and in doing so it will encourage more people to take to two wheels and this can only improve the environment and promote health and well-being.

Mr @christiancalgie has been busy putting out a partial version of events these last few days, amplified by yourselves.
I think it’s time all your readers had the whole story. They were all out of order and, if they had any decency, would now hold their hands up and apologise.
Another really busy councillor week with @kirwin_mc We attended meetings in Beech Rd Park, the Council AGM, met with Chorlton Traders Association, attended the @nebriefing met with the local police & did the Oswald Rd Primary Bus Cycle & supported Chorlton Arts. @ChorltonLabour
