Protocol 26 marks the ninth protocol upgrade in Pi Network's ongoing Mainnet transition, with Protocol 27 expected to be the final planned upgrade in the current roadmap.

The update primarily affects Mainnet node operators, while regular Pi mobile users are not impacted.

Pi Network Prepares for Final Upgrade with Protocol 26 Launch

@PiCoreTeam has announced the transition to Protocol 26 on its mainnet, mandating that all node operators complete the technical upgrade before August 11.

The upgrade serves as the final precursor to Protocol 27, the terminal technical shift planned for the network’s 2026 roadmap.

Operators who fail to implement the Protocol 26 changes by the August 11 deadline will be disconnected from the PI mainnet immediately.

In the meantime, the network is prioritizing high reliability standards for its final phase of ecosystem development.
