Here are my thoughts on the Sentebale tragedy.

Sophie has a nerve. SHE was the one who partook in a whole media tour disparaging Harry. The entire board walked due to her poor leadership traits and her mismanagement of charity finances. A board full of highly educated, notable individuals from both Africa and the UK.

Prince's Harry AND Seeiso BOTH left the charity THEY had founded in honour of their beloved mothers, after 2 decades of dedicated service. They would not have left a charity they'd poured their hearts and souls into unless they felt there were real concerns.

Sophie targeted Harry alone. Accused him of bullying, then back tracked and said he had always been respectful and kind to her but she felt bullied by the board and its "colonialism". She criticised Harry's fundraising efforts saying polo wasn't a suitable way to raise funds for Sentebale. Despite Polo games bringing in tens of millions over the years. Harry also donated $2million usd from his book sales to Sentebale. He was the charities number one donor.

In response to Sophie's public claims, Harry and Seeiso issued a joint statement saying they would let the charity commission investigate. There were no disparaging come backs.

The charity commission cleared Harry, Seeiso and the board of any wrong doing. That is important to note.

Sophie had the charity to do with as she pleased. Without Harry, donors left. Squaddies canceled our regular donations (as did I). We investigated and found links to Sophie misappropriating funds by hiring family members to do expensive reports on how funds could be raised. Her own actions, and behaviours, stopped us donating. Not Harry. I was not going to continue to give money to a charity led by a chairperson who had pushed the entire board out. A board who had worked together, without incident, for years. There were clear problems.

Sadly Sentebale is now in a financial downfall. For 2 decades it helped children living with the affects of HIV/AIDS. Now it's in debt, and has no money to pay staff or help anyone. Instead of using her own self proclaimed education and connections, Sophie decides to once again blame Harry for her failure to keep Sentebale afloat. The entire board left. The entire board issued a public statment. Yet only Harry is being targeted. Sophie knew Harry's public standing. She knew his every movement would be followed. She knew the entire board walking would eventually draw media interest and questions would be asked. Did she expect Harry to stay and take the blame for the loss of an entire board? To cover her own mismanagement and poor leadership? I think she did.

I have no doubt that this is a pointless suit. One she wont win. Sadly the real victims here are the children that no longer receive the help Sentebale once offered.
