Georgia-Pacific to Close Tacoma Gypsum Plant, Eliminating 120 Jobs

Georgia-Pacific will permanently close its Tacoma, Washington, gypsum manufacturing plant, eliminating 120 jobs, including production, loading and shipping positions. Layoffs are expected to begin October 30.

Uber Cuts 3,300 Jobs as Company Restructures for an Autonomous Future

Uber is cutting about 3,300 jobs, or 10% of its workforce, while flattening management and redirecting savings toward growth, innovation and its expanding robotaxi strategy. Uber plans to invest more than $10 billion in robotaxis in coming years.
