Despite the heart wrenching ads, ASPCA has only one shelter, period, and that shelter is in New York City. If you're going to give to help animals, don't give here. Give to your local shelter or to a rescue that you are familiar with.

HSUS - 1% (19 cents)
ASPCA - 4% (76 cents).
Where does the rest go? Executive salaries, pensions, investments, fund raising.
