Hello to everyone who became interested in horse racing because of Uma Musume✨😃❗
Now, this weekend there are important races in the UK, the US, and Japan ✨🇬🇧🇺🇸🇯🇵✨
🇬🇧 2000 Guineas Stakes (G1)
🇺🇸 Kentucky Derby (G1)
🇯🇵 Tenno Sho (Spring) (G1)
This time, we'll introduce the races in the UK and the US.
The first race I'll introduce is the 2000 Guineas Stakes.🇬🇧
It will take place in about five and a half hours, starting at 3:35 PM local time.
This race served as the model for the Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) and is the first leg of the British Triple Crown.
However, because this is a mile race, horses that win it often do not go on to the Derby and tend to continue competing in mile races afterward.
The horses to watch are, first and foremost, Gstaad, the winner of last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. He is currently the favorite.
He has also placed second in a British Group 1 race, demonstrating consistent strength.
The second favorite is Bow Echo, who is currently undefeated in three starts.
There are other strong contenders, but there isn't one overwhelming favorite to win this race.
Next up is the Kentucky Derby in the United States❗🇺🇸
It starts in about 14 hours, at 6:57 PM local time.
For those interested in Japanese horse racing, this race is probably more noteworthy.
That's because two Japanese horses are participating.
First, let me introduce the Japanese horses 🇯🇵
First up is Danon Bourbon.
He hasn't won a graded race yet, but he's won all three of his races. And his wins so far have been overwhelming.
He's currently around sixth favorite.
The next Japanese horse I'd like to introduce is Wonder Dean.
He won the G2 UAE Derby in Dubai last time. Some of you may have seen that race.
Also, his grandfather is Wonder Acute, who has been featured in the Uma Musume game.
He's currently around 16th favorite.
It's unclear whether either of these Japanese horses will be able to adapt to American dirt tracks, but I have high hopes for both of them! ✨
Next, let's look at the American horses!
There isn't a clear favorite in this race either. One reason for this is that the horse considered the strongest is unable to participate due to injury.
Therefore, I think there are many horses with a chance of winning.
First, there's Renegade, winner of the G1 Arkansas Derby.
Next is Commandment, winner of the G1 Florida Derby.
These two are the favorites.
The third favorite, Father Ado, is also one to watch, as he has won the G1 Blue Grass Stakes.
Other horses to watch include The Puma, winner of the G3 Tampa Bay Derby, and So Happy, winner of the G1 Santa Anita Derby.
While there are many races in America with "Derby" in their name, the Kentucky Derby is the pinnacle.✨🇺🇸✨
But, I don't know how to watch each of them 😓
The Kentucky Derby is broadcast on TV in Japan, though.
I think people in each country will be able to watch it on television.
You might find live broadcasts if you search for each race's name on YouTube.
Also, kind people often tell me how to watch in response to this tweet, so I'm hoping they'll help too.
If anyone knows how to watch from overseas, please let me know 🙏
Now, let's all watch this globally anticipated race‼️
