Nine years ago today sophomore Riley Norris scored a career-high 27 points as @AlabamaMBB crushed the unbeaten and 19th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks 73-50 inside Coleman Coliseum on Jan. 13, 2016.
Norris tied the then record of made three-pointers with eight as he finished 8-of-11 from beyond the arc and also grabbed seven rebounds. Justin Coleman was the only other Crimson Tide player in double figures with 14 points and six assists.
A native of Albertville, the 6-foot-7 forward signed with Alabama in 2014 playing his freshman season for Anthony Grant before finishing under Avery Johnson. Norris joined a recruiting class ranked No. 21 that included Coleman and Devin Mitchell.
He finished his career as a .346 percentage three-pointer shooter, scored 919 points and had 567 rebounds for the Crimson Tide.
